So it would seem that Android phone owners don’t spend much time browsing the internet on their device. Given the fact they have the largest share of the market, when it comes to browsing they are some way behind iOS, with or without the inclusion of the ipad.

Whilst the growth of Android is amazing, what really surprises us is that Windows had 42% of the smartphone market in 2007, who would have thought?

Tablets are still a small part of the mobile pie, but the growth with continue at a pace through 2012. As the supply of sub £300 hardware becomes available the take up will inevitably increase. Android will obviously grow, Apple’s overall market share will decline (but in unit numbers will remain the largest), what will be interesting is to see how Windows will fair.
New words for some plod in the marketing department to learn to appear web 5.0, because their boss will be impressed hearing terms they don’t understand the meaning of.
This could get very interesting. Nobody would miss the actual ipad as there will be factories already copying the thing, depends how much really care about iOS.
It didn’t seem that long ago that we wrote this, about Android app downloads reaching 4.5 million (Although they didn’t tell us that they all ready had achieved 6 million). The growth in 2011 is quite amazing.
